Introduction

Timeline and History Silder adds a Menu tab in WP Admin side with the name “Timeline PwPc” where you can add new Timeline post and etc, edit and delete.

Installation

Installation of Timeline and History Slider requires a six clicks. To install the plugin, please use the following steps:

  1. Install PowerPack Plugin, And click on PowerPack admin menu.
  2. go to Powerpack “Modules” category and click.
  3. Now you can see all powerpack Modules Plugins.
  4. Particular modules plugin right side display enable / disabled switch.
  5. click on enable / disabled switch then save changes by click save button.
  6. Now you can see Modules in your WP Admin sidebar.

Note: When you enable / disable module, hit the “Save Changes” button to make it live.
Your changes saved successfully.

Getting started with Timeline and History Silder

Timeline and History Silder adds a Menu tab in WP Admin side with the name “Timeline PwPc” where you can add Title, Content, Timeline Custom Icon, Timeline Fa Icon, Read More Link, Category as a featured image.

Add Timeline

  1. Go to Timeline PwPc and click on Add New.
  2. Add Title, Content, Timeline Custom Icon, Timeline Fa Icon, Link For Read More and Featured image and update.
  3. You can select the category for timeline from the ‘Category’ box at right side.
  4. You can add category for timeline from the Timeline Category menu.

Add Timeline Category

If you want to display Timeline Category wise then go to Category and select the respective category shortcode.

Timeline with Custom Order

You can display Timeline Posts in custom order with Drag & Drop interface. Click on ‘Sort Timeline’ link on timeline listing page, Drag posts row and click the ‘Save Sort Order’ button to save.
Note: Put orderby=’menu_order’ order=”ASC” parameter in timeline shortcode for custom ordering.

How to display shortcode

To display a Timeline Post is very simple. Just add the following shortcodes on any page or post:

[pwpc_timeline] – Display Timeline Vertical History

Timeline Horizontal Slider shortcode parameter

    Enter the designs for Timeline post. We have added 6 designs.

  • Slider Columns

    Display number of timeline at a time in slider.

    Number of slide that you want to show when the slider initialize.

  • Slider Dots

    Delay between two slides. You can enter any numeric values.

  • Slider Effect

    You can set short content Words limit. Enter any numeric value.

  • Show Read More

    Show read more button or not. Values are “true” OR “false”.

  • Content Tail

    Display three dots after short content for continue reading.

  • Read More Text

    Change read more button text. You can set desired text.

  • Link

    Show/hide post link. Values are “true OR false”.

  • Link Target

  • Show Date

    Whether show date or not. values are “true” or “false”

  • Show Title

    Display Timeline title. By default value us “true”. Values are “true” OR “false”.

  • Limit

    Number of Timeline Post which you want to display. By default value is limit=”20″; Use -1 to display all posts.

  • Display By Category

    Display Timeline post by their category ID. You can pass multiple ids by comma separated.

  • Display Child Category
    [pwpc_timeline_slider include_cat_child="true"]
    Include category children or not. If you choose parent category then whether to display child category post.

  • Orderby
    [pwpc_timeline_slider orderby="date"]
    Set orderby for post. You can set “date” (Timeline Date), “modified” (Timeline updated date), “title” (Timeline Title), “rand” (Random), “menu_order” (Sort Order).

  • Order
    [pwpc_timeline_slider order="DESC"]
    Set post order. Values are “ASC” OR “DESC”

  • Display Specific Post
    [pwpc_timeline_slider posts="1,5,7"]
    Show only specific posts. You can pass multiple post id by comma separated.
    Note: Enter post ID.

    Avoid posts to display. You can pass multiple post id by comma separated.

  • Adaptive Height

    Adjust height of slider According to your content.

  • Image Position

    Set image position in your slider. values are “left”, “right”, “top”, “bottom”.

  • Background Color
    [pwpc_timeline_slider background_color="#A9A9A9"]
    Set background color of post value must be color code.

  • Font Color

    Set fonts color of post according to your needs value must be color code.

  • RTL

    Enable RTL or not. By default value is “true”. Option are “true OR false”.

    if you want to set fa icon color different from post color. value must be color code.
